Headcanoning a Black kid as a thief is racist because Black people are *already* assumed thieves. I don’t know a single Black person that doesn’t have a story of being followed around a store before at some point. From an early age my mom taught me to not keep my hands in my pockets while in a store because people will think I stole something. This is a real life *problem* one that can get a Black kid assaulted and killed, either by the cops that get called on them without reason, or by racist ass store owners.
